Super 8 by Wyndham Carbondale

Service was pretty good. Location was ok, a mile walk to town if you don't have a car, so if you're a driver it's not a problem. Location was quiet and rooms were pretty well insulated. In-suite amenities aren't too shabby. Rooms are dated and look lived-in but are clean, and blackout curtains are a godsend if you're sleeping in. There is a stale odor of marijuana about; welcome to Illinois. "Continental breakfast" consists of two choices of cereal, milk and OJ. Mercifully there's Dunkin just next door, and Branch is in town if you can wait. Overall this is a great place to stay for the price. It's a comfortable place to rest your head while you visit Carbondale. If you're looking to visit on a budget, you could do far, far worse. Definitely recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Check in desk, hallway and especially the room were very clean. Room was cleaned daily. The staff was friendly. I come to this area several times a year and this Super 8 is cleaner and better than the last 3 hotels I have stayed at here in Carbondale IL.

I stay here every time I visit my daughter. Yes it’s a little outdated but the rooms have always been really clean and the staff is always so nice. It’s a great price and I’ve never had a problem. I will continue to stay here.

Wow! This is an excellently ran hotel. I am VERY impressed. Very clean, nice people, wonderful rates. Maybe considered a 3-star hotel, they are a 5 in my book. Thank you to the owners!!

This hotel has extremely great staff who are all very kind, respectful, caring and eager to assist with all of their customers needs. The rooms are the cleanest and very most comfortable every time that I've stayed here and being that I've stayed in other hotels in Carbondale, Illinois, they are the nicest and well kept hotel here in Carbondale and possibly all of Southern Illinois. I stepped outside yesterday evening for a cigarette and I seen one of the older staff men on his knees outside scraping all of the weeds out from in between the sections of cement around the hotel. I've never witnessed any other hotel staff even consider engaging in this type of hotel maintenance and he has all of my respect because he's placing all of his pride in his work. A few days ago I was diagnosed with diabetes. I have syringes and insulin, yet, no glucometer, lances or test strips. The caring young lady staff member brought me a glucometer, lances and test strips from her home and gave me them as a gift so that I can control my diabetes. That's hotel and all of its staff are the absolute greatest I've ever witnessed and experienced. I recommend this hotel to family, friends and strangers without a doubt and at all times!

Rooms were fine except the refrigerator when it kicked on was extremely loud. Friday night, people near us were EXTREMELY loud at 2:50 am. Management did ask them to be quiet. Friendly staff. Nice to have a quick breakfast before leaving.

This is one of the nicest and cleanest super 8s I have ever stayed in. Its s great deal for the price. And this super 8 allows dogs, including larger sized dogs, which is great bc i have an American Bulldog. The staff is very nice and friendly. Will definitely be staying here in the future when I come to town again

Great value: rooms are clean and in good working order. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The only downside was some noise from neighbors
